Macs use a system called "CUPS" to manage printers. To get full details of printers installed on your Mac you can use a web browser.
First turn on the web interface. Type this in terminal: cupsctl WebInterface=yes Then, in your web browser go to this site: http://localhost:631/printers/
You can then view details and even modify setup of printers from your browser. You will need the admin password for some functions.
I usually write a blog post about once a week. The latest post can be viewed here: The Babylon Bee: Visit the Babylon Bee web site. You won't regret it! (posted 2025-11-26 at 13:01:52). I do podcasts too!. You can listen to my latest podcast, here: OJB's Podcast 2025-11-06 Democracy v Bureaucracy: It's not left versus right which I am complaining about: it is bureaucracy versus democracy!.
