(Up to OJB's Longlands Page) Longlands Chardonnay 2002Tasted: | 21 Aug 2004 (age 2 years) | Name: | Te Awa Farm (59) | Variety: | Chardonnay | Year: | 2002 | Producer: | Longlands (235) | Region: | Hawkes Bay | Rating: | ok | Web Site: | http://www.teawafarm.co.nz | | The colour was medium gold, and the appearance was slightly oily. The bouquet had sharp citrus melon and butterscotch. The taste showed medium-dry, lemon citrus fruit, and had a light buttery feel. This wine had a good balance of fruit and woody flavours. |
Note 1 I am not really a wine expert (just an enthusiastic amateur), so please don't take my recommendations as anything more than a rough guide to these wines. I can take no responsibility if you buy a lot, on my recommendation, and then regret it! Note 2 You may not agree with my evaluation of these wines as a lot of this is quite subjective. I tend to put a lot of emphasis on complexity and intense characteristic flavours and bouquet, so if you disagree you might just have different priorities. ![[Up]](../XuShared/Up2B.jpeg)
