(Up to OJB's Grove Mill Page) Grove Mill Sauvignon Blanc 2003Tasted: | 03 Feb 2005 (age 2 years) | Name: | Grove Mill (39) | Variety: | Sauvignon Blanc | Year: | 2003 | Producer: | Grove Mill (202) | Region: | Marlborough | Rating: | good | Web Site: | http://www.grovemill.co.nz | | The colour was a pale bright gold with a green tint. The bouquet showed strong sharp grassy, capsicum and gooseberry fruit. The taste started with a crisp sharpness, followed by lime citrus and grassy capsicum flavours, and intense gooseberry fruit. This is a classic intense Marlborough style, its quite complex and well balanced. |
Note 1 I am not really a wine expert (just an enthusiastic amateur), so please don't take my recommendations as anything more than a rough guide to these wines. I can take no responsibility if you buy a lot, on my recommendation, and then regret it! Note 2 You may not agree with my evaluation of these wines as a lot of this is quite subjective. I tend to put a lot of emphasis on complexity and intense characteristic flavours and bouquet, so if you disagree you might just have different priorities. ![[Up]](../XuShared/Up2B.jpeg)
