(Up to OJB's Stratford Page) Stratford Pinot Noir 2003Tasted: | 01 Jul 2007 (age 4 years) | Name: | Stratford Pinot Noir (283) | Variety: | Pinot Noir | Year: | 2003 | Producer: | Stratford | Region: | Martinborough | Rating: | ok+ | Web Site: | http://www.stratford.co.nz | | The colour was medium-deep ruby red. The bouquet had spicy licourice and cherry fruit, and light wood. The taste had a smooth fruity start, distinct peppery flavour, and soft savoury earthy flavours. This wine had quite complex integrated flavours, good fruit and savoury balance, it was well aged. |
Note 1 I am not really a wine expert (just an enthusiastic amateur), so please don't take my recommendations as anything more than a rough guide to these wines. I can take no responsibility if you buy a lot, on my recommendation, and then regret it! Note 2 You may not agree with my evaluation of these wines as a lot of this is quite subjective. I tend to put a lot of emphasis on complexity and intense characteristic flavours and bouquet, so if you disagree you might just have different priorities. ![[Up]](../XuShared/Up2B.jpeg)
