(Up to OJB's Styles Page) Gifford Road Sauvignon Blanc 2005Tasted: | 05 Mar 2007 (age 2 years) | Name: | Gifford Road Sauvignon Blanc (239) | Variety: | Sauvignon Blanc (15) | Year: | 2005 | Producer: | Gifford Road | Region: | Marlborough | Rating: | ok | Web Site: | http://www.observingwines.co.nz | | The colour was bright, light greenish lemon. The bouquet showed crisp sharp capsicum and tropical gooseberry fruit. There was strong citrus gooseberry fruit, capsicum, and a long acid finish. This wine showed quite good varietal character, and was clean with good acid crispness. |
Note 1 I am not really a wine expert (just an enthusiastic amateur), so please don't take my recommendations as anything more than a rough guide to these wines. I can take no responsibility if you buy a lot, on my recommendation, and then regret it! Note 2 You may not agree with my evaluation of these wines as a lot of this is quite subjective. I tend to put a lot of emphasis on complexity and intense characteristic flavours and bouquet, so if you disagree you might just have different priorities. ![[Up]](../XuShared/Up2B.jpeg)
