Nicole and Her Kite

This photo is all about composition and maximum depth of field. I had to use a program which set the highest f-ratio so that the foreground (Nicole) and the background (the kite) were both in focus. I had to lie on the ground to get the right angle, following the kite string up through the middle of the picture.

Also notice that Nicole's face is in shadow which softens the overall look, but the exposure is more difficult. Technically, this is a very difficult picture but the end result is quite pleasing. Click here for a diagram showing the structure of this picture.
