Bored with Technology?

Entry 499, on 2007-03-21 at 17:12:52 (Rating 3, Computers)

Our local paper reported that a meeting held here to demonstrate the latest Microsoft technology: Office and Vista, was surprisingly poorly attended. The writer speculated that perhaps people are getting bored with technology and are sick of the constant upgrades and associated problems.

Maybe this is true, I have no hard evidence to show whether it is or isn't, but I know there is a lot of excitement in the Mac community related to the release of Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard, so there still seems interest in some technologies. Maybe its just Microsoft technology that no one is interested in. I'll run a meeting for my local Mac user group and I wouldn't be surprised if I get more than 30 people attending. And I won't have to offer a $2000 prize to encourage people to attend!

No, Microsoft just have to face it, they are on the way out. The era of Microsoft dominance is coming to an end, and all I can say is the world will be a better place because of it!

I agree. I think people are still interested in technology. They are just not interested in Microsoft technology, especially Vista. My friend tried to install Vista and lots of things don't work any more.
